Loading CDs often causes PC crashes and takes away valuable time from a provider.
Even when patients arrive with their images on a CD, it is a cumbersome process to load and review.
Currently there is no easy way to access images loaded in disparate imaging systems from the cloud, to enable specialists to be able to easily consult or provide second opinions.
ACOs, private insurers and even CMS will soon be providing their own case interpretations prior to approving payment for surgical services and will require convenient access to imaging from any source.
